Admissions and New Pupils

Deadlines for admissions and contact details for the admissions team can be found on the council’s website. All applications for Reception Class places and in-year transfers should be made via the admissions team at Trafford.

New Pupils (In Year Transfers)

Once you have been allocated a place at Barton Clough Primary Academy by Trafford council, a member of the admin team will contact you to arrange a welcome meeting with the Executive Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher. At the welcome meeting, you will have a tour around the school and all aspects of school life will be explained, a number of forms will be issued for completion, please return the forms to the school office.

Appeal Hearings Timetable

If you wish to exercise your right to appeal for Barton Clough Primary School please access the Trafford Council Website www.trafford.gov.uk (School Admissions / Related Pages / School Admission Appeals) or contact the Democratic Services Section on Telephone No. 0161 912 4221 to request an Appeal Form.

Appellants will receive:
At least 14 calendar days’ notice of their appeal hearing.
Decision letters within 7 calendar days of the hearing wherever possible OR where multiple days are required within 7 calendar days of the last hearing wherever possible.  

As applications for in-year admissions are a separate process please note this category of appeal will be heard within 30 school days of receipt of the appeal form.
