The Reception team consists of Mrs Ahmed and Miss Hunter.
During the Reception year, children are given extended opportunities to learn through play. Each day offers something new as they engage in a variety of activities in both indoor and outdoor learning environments. We provide a range of exciting opportunities and carefully monitor the progress of each individual child.
Throughout the day, there is a balanced mix of spontaneous, child-initiated activities and carefully planned, adult-led experiences. The outdoor area is considered an extension of the classroom, offering the same rich opportunities as the indoor space.
By offering a diverse range of open-ended experiences, children are supported in making progress across the following seven areas:

Important Information:
Children will have access to fruit and milk each day. However, you are more than welcome to send a healthy snack with your child (please avoid sugary or chocolate snacks). Please remember that the snack must not contain nuts or peanuts.
Please ensure children come equipped with suitable clothing (hats, gloves, coats, etc.) as we go outside in all weather! Children are welcome to bring a pair of wellies and/or waterproofs, which can be kept in school. Please make sure all clothing is clearly labelled.
PE days are Monday and Tuesday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school on both of these days.
Forest School day is Thursday. Please ensure your child brings wellies and a waterproof coat for this session.
Please check our school Facebook page and Class Dojo for regular updates and photographs of what we’ve been doing in class!
Thank you for your support and cooperation. We hope you find this information helpful.
Please do not hesitate to contact us via Class Dojo if you have any questions, queries, or concerns.
