Hello and welcome to Year 5!

Hello! I’m Miss Robinson the Year 5 teacher. On this page you will find important information, reminders and useful learning links for the year ahead. You can also check out our newsletters and knowledge organisers to see what topics we are covering each half term.

Important information:

Every child is expected to read their Accelerated Reader book for at least 20 minutes each night. This can be recorded in their reading records and brought into school each day.

Timetable Rockstars is a fun interactive way to practice their timetables. Each child should practice regularly.

Homework is provided every half term on our sway link learning grids. Completed homework can be brought into school or photographed and sent on Class Dojo. I can provide the homework printed or resources such as lined paper should you need it.

PE lessons this year are every Thursday. Your child needs to arrive dressed in their school PE kit. This includes a white Barton Clough T-shirt, black shorts/trousers and trainers.

We will begin our swimming lessons in the Autumn term and they will run every Wednesday from 10th September to 28th January 2025.

Our Class forest school session is in Spring term 1.
