Hello and welcome to Year 4!

Hello and welcome to our Year 4 Class! I’m Miss Robinson and I’m so excited to be teaching your children this year. We have lots of fantastic learning planned, and I’m looking forward to working together to help every child grow in confidence and reach their full potential.

Reading is one of the most important things children can do to support their learning. Please encourage your child to read for at least 20 minutes each evening and ensure their reading record is signed by an adult and brought into school every day.

We’ll also be working hard on our times tables, as these are a key part of maths and help children become more confident in many areas of their learning. Regular practice really does make a difference, so I’d love for children to spend a few minutes each day using TT Rock Stars to build their speed and fluency.

Home learning will be shared each half term via Class Dojo using our Sway link. To help children get the most from their learning, please encourage them to complete activities regularly throughout the half term.

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit: a white Barton Clough T-shirt, black shorts or trousers, and trainers.
