At Barton Clough, we believe that Art is an essential part of every child’s education. Our Art curriculum is designed to help children appreciate the value of art in our world whilst also encouraging their own creative expression. We introduce pupils to a wide range of artists from different cultures and backgrounds, helping them to see the world through diverse perspectives. Our programme is inclusive, ensuring that every child, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to explore and develop their artistic talents.

Our Art curriculum is carefully planned to nurture creativity and skill development. Each term, pupils study different artists and techniques, from drawing and painting to mixed media, printing, and 3D work. This hands-on approach allows children to continually refine their skills while creating their own unique pieces of art. By the end of each term, pupils will have produced a final piece that reflects their learning and growth as young artists. Our goal is to foster confidence and a love for art in every child, helping them to discover and develop their inner artist.
