Year 3

Hello and welcome to Year 3!

I am Miss Kennedy, the Year 3 teacher. I am very excited for this year and can’t wait to see all the amazing learning we will do together.

On this page you will find important information, reminders and useful learning links for the year ahead, as well as, some useful links you can use at home to support your child’s learning.

Important information:

PE – Every Wednesday & Friday. Please make sure the children have their PE kits in school, ready for lesson. Please ensure your child has appropriate footwear for PE.

Linked learning grid (Homework) is set at the start of every half term. The document will be printed and given to your child to take home. It is expected that your child completes one piece of homework a week from the grid, with all pieces being completed by the end of half term. Any further questions regarding homework, please let me know.

Reading – it is expected that each child reads their accelerated reader book for at least 20 minutes per day. Once finished, the children can then quiz on these books in school.

Reading books and reading records should be brought to school each morning. Your child can sign their own reading record.

TT Rockstars – Each child has a TT Rockstars login. Please remember to log in and play at home, working on increasing your speed and times tables knowledge.
